A Note From Nathan,
Greetings Everyone!!!!
It's here...Wasn't it just here a few months ago???? The Christmas season is bearing
down on us. I'm looking forward to a very busy Holiday Season. This may be the
busiest I've had in years if not ever. It has been a great year...I guess that's why it
seems to have flown by. The old saying, "Time flies when you're having fun", was
never truer.
For me, it has been a year of new beginnings. Adding on several new venues, some of
which took, some that didn't, offered up exciting challenges. The ones that have
remained have been a real pleasure for me and I hope to the musicians that work with
me, as well as the audiences. I would like to thank all the folks (let's see if I leave
anyone out...) who has joined me this year....Rick, Wes, Jimmy Lackey, Russ, Rick
Dilling, Billy, Jay, Carl, Rich, Jim Calabrese, Bob Taylor, Byron, Wendy, Kat,
Courtney, Viki, Johnny A., Don Eisaman, Zack, Andy, Patrick....I know I'm missing
someone....Anyway, thank you so much guys and gals!!!!!
Being a pianist for a Methodist Church can also present it's own challenges.
However, I am looking forward to a lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas Day service.
If you aren't doing anything on the 10th of December, and you're in the area, come
join me at the Hickory Christmas Parade. I'll be with the Olde Hickory Tap Room
trolley belting out some sort of yuletide tune this year. I hope some of you can make
it!!!
Jackie's annual Christmas show is shaping up. That always is a challenge, but it's
always worth it. The tribute to her Mom this year should be especially touching. Last,
but not least, the 84th Annual Nathan Hefner Christmas Spectacle....uhh Spectacular
will be on the 21st of December...I'll be honest....I can't wait!!!! I love doing that every
year!!!!
In closing, I hope that each of you has a wonderful and blessed Christmas and a very
Happy and prosperous New Year. So, from me, Corey, Keely & Gracie, the Hefner
family wishes you and yours a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
