A Note From Nathan,
Greetings Everyone!!!!
Well hello strangers!!!!! It has been a little while, I know!! I trust everyone had a
wonderful Christmas/ Holiday/ New Year. It was one for the books for me all season,
and it didn't slow down in January as it normally does. Due to some licensing issues
with the domain name, NathanHefner.com, January's changes just didn't happen.
Everything has gotten worked out.
It was so nice to be able to return to Bistro 127 in January, even if it was for only one
evening. Hands down, it is one of the finest places in Hickory for breakfast, lunch
and dinner. I love the staff there and Matt Miller is one fine chef and a great guy. Be
sure and catch a show there sometime.
Santorini Grill has lost no momentum. With acts like Russ Wilson, the Harris
Brothers, Rick Cline, Jimmy Lackey and Miss Kat Williams, you just can't find a
better ticket in town on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The guys that join me are
fantastic...simply world class. Check out This months line-up in the Itinerary page.
Okay...the new stuff. I have started working at Table on Main here in downtown
Hickory, NC. Many of you I'm sure remember Table 220. Well, it has moved to the
building that houses Market On Main....it's just downstairs. It is officially Hickory's
only "piano bar". It has been wonderful so far!!!! It is great food in a beautiful
setting...very intimate. You can sit around the piano...sing, listen, chat...just
whatever. That said, come check it out sometime.
Just a quick note, many of you have texted, e-mailed, etc. asking about Carolyn
Ripley, my friend who writes Carolyn's Corner here on my site. Carolyn suffered a
stroke a few weeks ago, but is doing wonderfully. She is almost completely back to
her old self!!!! It gave us a pretty good scare though. She is a dear friend not just to
me, but to my other friends and my family. We're certainly thankful for her swift
recovery!!!!
My friend Byron Bean has just released a new CD...We will be celebrating on Feb. 7 at
Santorini Grill. So be sure to join us for that.
I think that just about covers it. I'll keep you guys posted as more things come up. In
the mean time, I look forward to seeing all of you very soon!!
